Cloaca Maxima at the Velabrum
The sewer crossed the Forum, collecting the water drained off from the higher land, and conveyed it into the Tiber.

An underground family burial place from the Julian period, decorated with frescoes and mosaics.

Once the barracks of the 7th fire brigade of Augustan Rome, the building was turned in the 2nd century into a military barracks.

Mausoleum of Augustus 
Ordered by Augustus as a tomb for himself and his family, the circular monument was covered by a tumulus with cypress trees and had a bronze statue of the emperor.

Found in the basement of the building closing the Circus Maximus to the north, the Mithraeum has a large bas-relief depicting "Mithras Killing the Bull".

A magnificent two-storey cistern,  part of the Trajan's bath complex, consisting of nine intercommunicating parallel rooms.

The ancient Asinaria gate was restored to its original condition in 1951. It is possible to visit the inside of the walls and the wall-walk above.
